Location : Marlow, Berkshire.
In December 2014 we were invited onto another exciting project with TTI, Techtronic Industries. Their vision and growth over recent years has been exceptional and they are the largest supplier of power tools within Europe, supplying Milwaukee and RYOBI to name but a few. Due to their continued growth they have invested in a new training facility based in Marlow, close to their main offices. TTI were looking for the best office furniture to fill their training venue with and we were delighted to provide an excellent, design driven and cost effective solution. The vision for the venue was directed by Nick, their Brand Manager, whom was keen to keep the space open, simplistic, yet offer a modern and relaxed working environment. As this facility is a training venue it was extremely important to create an aesthetically pleasing work space, both for the trainees and employees. Initial floor plans were provided outlining ; training rooms, meeting rooms and the reception area. We worked with Nick and the team to discover what it was they were looking to produce within the venue. Upon installation everything was clear from both sides, we knew exactly what was going where and it took a matter of hours to assemble, install and bring to life their training centre.

The New Look Reception Area
The reception seating, pictured above and below is brand new and can be found here. TTI opted for a two tone option in leather and the colours matched with their grey and red logo perfectly, the simple design and open layout suits the relaxed atmosphere of the reception area. Our attention to detail from the outset was impeccable as we always regard client satisfaction so highly at Barkham Office Furniture.

Flexibility between Meeting and Training Rooms
The contemporary feel we were looking to produce in the training and meeting rooms was embedded from the furniture chosen. The fantastic choice of flip top tables in the meeting rooms offers a realm of possibilities for the room. The ability to easily store these tables makes them even more appealing for companies who have to manoeuvre furniture around for seminars and meetings. Our range of flip top meeting tables can be found here and their adaptability and use should not be undermined as they offer great health and safety positives also. For instance only one person is needed to move these, due to the simplicity and the added bonus of them being on castors. The professional, team working environment is complete with the addition of the black leather meeting chairs, which have been utilised throughout the building in multiple rooms. When dealing with used office furniture, there is scope for ‘mixing and matching’, and we arranged for the white round table tops to be placed on refurbished silver bases. This suits with the cost effective solutions we provided and all of our second hand products are cleaned prior to delivery or collection. We are really proud of how the new TTI training facility looks and we feel that it offers a relaxed, calming atmosphere whilst maintaining the professional environment for work.
