Office Installation, Ascot
At Barkham Office Furniture we have the privilege of working with some fantastic clients and we’ve created some excellent relationships as a result. We were contacted by a very good existing client of ours, Hall and Kay, a couple of months ago, with an initial plan to fully install their new offices. Let me tell you a few things about Hall and Kay – they supply and install fixed fire suppression systems in the commercial, retail, industrial and residential sectors. Their rapid growth Nationwide has allowed for continued expansion hence their requirement for new offices, and this is where we got involved.
We received an initial plan with details of employee numbers and the space provided and we worked closely with the client to establish colour schemes, sizes, chairs, pedestals and power supplies to name but a few. We enjoyed understanding exactly what it was the client was looking to create within the new office spacing and we made sure that we had everything covered from the outset. After the initial criteria was drawn up we set out to develop an aesthetically pleasing working environment, using both new and used office furniture.
The picture above was taken on the final day of the install and the team have done a fantastic job bringing the office to life. The dark walnut desks contrast with the madura green screens and it looks exceptional. The madura green is a common theme throughout the office as can be seen by the images below.

It was fascinating to see this project come to fruition and the team worked incredibly hard and diligently to ensure things ran smoothly. The offices spanned two floors and had many separate rooms to fill with stunning furniture creating a great working environment for the employees.
The boardroom was located on the top floor and we provided one of our favorite boardroom tables in a stunning black with stainless steel edging. Weighing almost the same as an elephant! It was an interesting challenge taking this table up one flight of stairs for the Hall and Kay team! The boardroom chairs we purchased from new and they suit the room fantastically well. The black glossed credenza unit finished the room off in style – a perfect room for holding important boardroom meetings.
Our client chose this very prestigious bespoke boardroom table which was recently collected from a client in Mayfair, and has been up cycled and works well with the stunning new Eames style chairs.
What we have achieved on this project was a stunning bespoke look involving new and used office furniture. The stunning walnut bench desk combined used frames with new walnut tops and screens, that were upholstered in madura green. It’s the attention to detail here that has allowed the whole install to look exceptional whilst achieving huge savings. The used Herman Miller Mirra chairs in Alpine had been fully serviced and cleaned and made a statement in the executive suites. Finally the boardroom table has had a minor revamp – the base has been re-veneered in a brush steel laminate and looks brand new.
The whole team at Barkham Office Furniture have been actively involved in this project from start to finish and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time working with Hall and Kay. Our use of both new and used office furniture worked tremendously well showcasing our ability to stock the best used products with new.
