In 2012 we were delighted to partner with a Sussex based design and build company, Minton Young Ltd, and supply a contemporary range of new and used office furniture for Brightwave’s new offices.

Main Objectives

  • Recommend and supply contemporary white desk systems with matching pedestals
  • Provide office chairs matching corporate colours in line with the design scheme
  • Supply a contrasting meeting table and chairs for the new meeting room pod

Our Solution

With the emphasis on recycling, quality used office furniture in ‘as new’ condition was chosen for the project… which is where we excel.

When selecting office furniture for your new or revamped offices, there’s a number of benefits to buying used furniture over new. Cost savings are obvious of course, but you’re also doing your bit towards a greener planet by re-using perfectly good items rather than renewing them and creating unnecessary landfill waste.

Bench Desking

For the bench desk system, a refurbished frame was installed and then finished off with straight edge tops in brilliant white. Second hand Knoll pedestals completed the new workstation look transforming the office layout in an instant.

For the seating, the popular ergonomic Leap Chair from Steelcase was chosen.

When used correctly, the Leap Chaiir helps reduce lower back pain, discomfort and musculo-skeletal disorders while achieving greater productivity within the workplace.

Another fantastic feature about the Leap chair is it’s sustainability. During the development process, the environmental impact was taken into account and as a result, 98% of the Leap chair is recyclable and contains no hazardous materials

Keeping to the ‘recycle’ brief, these Leap Chairs were second hand and from liquidation stock. At the time of choosing though, they were unfortunately purple and of course the wrong colour for Brightwave. However, using sustainable fabrics from Camira we professionally recovered them in a gorgeous Apple shade to match the brief and their branding.

The modern meeting room pod was completed with a recycled table and chair setup, again professionally reupholstered with sustainable fabrics from Camira.
